HP: The Hewlett-Packard Company or shortened to Hewlett-Packard was an American multinational information technology company headquartered in Palo Alto, California. HP was the world’s leading PC manufacturer from 2007 to 2013, after whichLenovo came to rank ahead of HP. It specialized in developing and manufacturing computing, data storage, and networking hardware, designing software and delivering services. Major product lines included personal computing devices, enterprise and industry standard servers, related storage devices, networking products, software and a diverse range of printers and other imaging products. It designs, develops, manufactures and sells personal computers, tablet computers, smartphones, workstations, servers, electronic storagedevices, IT management software, and smart televisions.Lenovo has operations in more than 60 countries and sells its products in around 160 countries.Lenovo was founded in Beijing in 1984 as Legend and was incorporated in Hong Kong in 1988. Lenovo acquired IBM’s personal computer business in 2005 and agreed to acquire its Intel-based server business in 2014.
